How does the forecast work?

FungiFind verbindet drei Ebenen: Live-Wetter, Pilzökologie und regionale Anpassung.

Current and forecast weather data for all of Europe is loaded — including temperature, rainfall, relative humidity and wind. These values are matched against the ecological profile of the selected species: When is its typical season? At what elevation does it fruit? Which climate regions does it prefer?

Daraus entsteht ein Fund-Score, der auf der Karte als Farbverlauf dargestellt wird. Grün bedeutet: Die Bedingungen passen gut zur Art. Gelb und rot signalisieren weniger günstige Phasen. Der genaue Rechenweg ist unser Know-how — er basiert aber auf etabliertem mykologischem Wissen und wird laufend verfeinert.

Wichtig: FungiFind sagt nicht voraus, wo genau ein Pilz steht, sondern wo die Umgebungsbedingungen gerade stimmen. Das spart Zeit bei der Tourenplanung, ersetzt aber nicht das Scharfsuchen im Moos.
